Now boarding!

23 June 2017

Since this morning, more than 2000 passengers boarded on Queen Mary 2, stopping over for a day in Cherbourg. Entrepreneurs of the Club de 100, actors of the naval world, musicians, race lovers... Everyone has now dropped their luggage on board. The Cunard company's flagship which is also Saint-Nazaire's pride, will cast off early in the evening...

The 345 meters long giant of steel will sail along the coast of Brittany which will definitively attract people's attention as Queen Mary 2's silouhette on the waters of the Loire's estuary will be recognisable. The ocean liner will be expected in less than 24 hours as the main event of the Centenary Commemoration of the June 1917 American landing programme. On Sunday at 7 pm, the Transatlantic race will oppose Queen Mary 2 to the four Ultime trimarans, reunited since yesterday in the Cité des Paquebots bassin.
