A Sodebo Ultim' crew member injured on board

While the trimaran was sailing in minced sea conditions 180 miles South of Halifax (Nova Scotia), Thomas Coville, skipper of Sodebo Ultim', contacted the MWAC in Toulouse (Medical Maritime Center of Consultation) around 9.30 pm (French time) to warn that Thierry Briend, one of his teammates, was injured due to a drastic fall.

Thierry Briend was at the helm when a big wave ejected him. Shaken, he lost consciousness for a few seconds.
 
The race doctor, Jean-Yves Chauve, is in constant contact with the boat.

No evacuation is planned for now.  
 
Sodebo Ultim's arrival in New York is expected in the afternoon of this Tuesday on July 4th. (French time).
